On average, only 10% of mechanical seals reach the end of their destined lifetime. The other 90% fail mainly due to incorrect operation, installation or selection. Significantly better performances are achieved by cartridge seals.

Cartridge seal is compact assembly and therefore easy to replace.

A modular seal represents a compact assembly, which allows its easy replacement and eliminates the possibility of a failure during the mounting. The design of this seal type is such that the seals are allowed greater axial displacements, and the application on high working pressures is allowed by hydraulic balance.

Arrangement:

  • Stationary springs allow greater rotation velocities.

  • Dynamically loaded secondary seals are placed on the atmosphere side of the seal which restricts the blockage of their work under the working fluid sedimentation.

  • Dynamically loaded secondary seals are not in a contact with the shaft sleeve, so it doesn't interfere on a centricity of the sleeve in relation to a shaft.

  • Compact sealing faces allow optimal transmission of a rotating momentum, even with the maximum allowed angular and axial shaft tolerances.

  • A design of the seal with multiple springs allows balanced load distribution on the sealing surface.

  • Springs are not continually dynamically loaded and are not in contact with the working fluid which restricts a blockage possibility of the strings and allows reliable work.

  • Double hydraulically balance acquires the sealing and undisturbed work, even in extended changes of pressure and totally restricts the possibility of a extended work failure of a seal.
